Mental Maths
For today’s number talk we learnt about mental maths! In mental maths you would have answer some addition in a 3 x 3 grid. You would have to solve the answer but it would have to be the right answer from up, down and left, right and it would have to be logical and be able to work
Tessellation
Task description: For maths we did tessellation. For this we cut out a square using card paper (Notebook cover) then we cut out random shapes after we finished we cut in the middle. Then we taped it together and traced over it on a paper. That method is called tiling. after I finished tracing I coloured it in.
Cybersmart – Wanted poster
For cybersmart we had to make a poster. For my poster i made a wanted poster and used sadaw .
Shapes
For maths in team tui we found out the edges,corners,faces,triangles and the total angles. We chose 3 shapes, the shapes i chose were a quadrilateral, hexagon and pentagon. I found out that all 2D shapes have 1 face not 2 and not 3 just 1 face.
Explanation writing by Moe
In Team Tui we made explanation writing for this weeks learning. The prompt had to start with a how or why, so i chose “why is it important to learn how to swim” as you can see i used the why prompt. I wrote 2 slides filled with information on the advantages of swimming.
